Clarion is a text-heavy and content rich site. With plenty of white space and the liberal use of uniformly sized and compelling images, we were able to break up the heaviness that plagues many text-heavy sites while preserving an intuitive and attractive organizational structure

Sacred Spaces Tours arranges tours to Greece, Constantinople, and other places that highlights the development of civilizations from the Classical Period through the Byzantine Era up to modernity. Led by a Greek Orthodox priest and a seminary professor of early Christian studies, the tours are rich in the study of culture, religion, history, and art.

Their website needed to reflect this mission. We built an image rich website that at first glance informs the reader that Sacred Spaces offers more than the average tour, and second invites the reader in for a closer look.

St. Basil the Great Orthodox Church wanted a content rich website with easy navigation and a color palette of cool but rich Orthodox colors. They outgrew their original website that was designed before Web 2 technology was available.

LOGOS Web Services worked closely with the St. Basil design team to determine what they needed. We incorporated older material into the new design and built content boxes they will populate with information as time goes on.

Nun Katherine (Weston) wanted a site that was aesthetically pleasing, welcoming to people who might be seeking counsel and comfort, with information about her therapeutic training and approach.

She chose soothing colors and provided ideas for the header image and general layout. Then we categorized the information in way that was easy to comprehend and locate.

The final site is well organized, visually attractive, and very easy to maintain.

The American Orthodox Institute (AOI) site presented a special challenge:

Design a content heavy site that was visually attractive, well organized, display a front page that organizes fresh content with compelling older content, sidebar advertising, and include a blog that allows for thousands (over 5,000 so far) of user comments — all indexed in an intuitive format that a first time user could master within a minimum amount of time.

A high number of specialty features are incorporated into an elegant design with superb functionality in the Preacher’s Institute website, an institute of higher learning in Orthodox homiletics.

Logos Web Services handled the complete design and internal coding. Features include an online bookstore, a discussion forum that slips seamlessly into the style and usability of the site, Google ad boxes, and advertising and public service graphics.

Visitors first notice the pleasing array of color that distinguishes this site from many others.

The client wanted a content rich site that reflected the vitality of the parish using colors and textures that draw from the rich topography of the Arizona landscape. We created a header that combined images of Orthodox iconography, parish worship, and the local landmark monument Thumb Butte to reflect the themes.

St. Peter’s wanted a simple design and an easy to maintain website. Because St. Peter’s is a mission parish, priority was given to brevity, a simple introduction to Orthodox Christianity, and clear and easy directions to their temporary location.

An opt-in newsletter subscription box is prominently placed in the sidebar. Whenever the site is updated, subscribers automatically receive an email with the update that includes a link back to the site. This quickly became a popular and appreciated feature of parish communications.

Orthodox Books Online needed a visually pleasing, quick loading site that would display several hundred featured books and include affiliate merchant pages all within a simple navigation structure.

We met the challenge by building a “New and Notable” category on the front page, creating more categories on other pages and embedding an Amazon book store directly into the site. We supplied a page for webmasters to copy and paste code to embed graphic ads.

Color scheme was selected by the client.
